A: There are below portable issues if the GPS tracker is not located:
(1)The installation environment is not good, like there is special film on the top of the vehicle or there is metal covered above the installation position or the installation position is much hidden.
(2)The environment around the vehicle is not good, like there is many tall building or dense trees around the car or there is something disturbs the GPS signal around the vehicle.
(3)The signal of GPS tracker is also related with the weather, the GPS signal is not good if in the rainy day.
Please take some photos to show us where is the OBD tracker installed in this vehicle? Also please confirm above points.
A: You can know the GPS location status from the GPS led, green led solid on means searching the GPS signal, green led blinking(on 1 second, off 1 second) means the GPS is located, green led is off means GPS is off.
A: The data calculation method and the origin of the mileage calculated by OBD tracker and from the odometer are different, the OBD tracker read the vehicle speed/mileage from the ECU and the mileage from the odometer is calculated by the speed sensor, so the result is different, it’s normal if the difference is less than 5%.
A: It’s related with the vehicle model, the fuel level can be read from the vehicle ECU if the vehicle can support to read the PID fuel level ( standard OBD II 0x212f, J1939 0x0060) ( e.g.: the value of 0x212f is 67 that means fuel level is 67%).
A: Our OBD tracking device can support to read standard OBD II and J1939/J1708 PIDs (refer to our PID list), the supported PID numbers are related with vehicle model, but it only can support to report max 10 PIDs by fixed time interval, default as 4-6 PIDs for fuel consumption calculation.

A: Sinocastel vehicle GPS tracking device can support to read the DTC code which is related with the engine system. It can’t support to read the DTC code from other systems.
A: (1) The vehicle tracking device should be selected before monitoring the location by real time.
(2) We advise you to move the car for one or two trips if it still can't be located within 3 minutes after the ignition on, the device will be positioned slowly the first time in the static environment.
(3) We advise you to connect the extension cable to improve the GPS signal reception condition if it always can't be located.
A: Sinocastel OBD device read the data from the system 00, 11, 17. It can’t read the fuel level if the fuel level comes from other systems, we advise you to use the original tool to capture the CAN data and send me to analyses it.
A: The trip end detected by vibration& voltage& Vehicle speed& RPM, the voltage provided from the OBD socket is still 12V even the engine is off, then the trip can’t be end if the voltage set as 12V.
